Lions, Tigers, and Kids! Oh My!

By Susan Anne Ramsey

Even though children are a blessing, being a parent is a challenging job! Your life changes completely from who you were to whom God is calling you to be now. We must be very careful what a child is exposed to, even from birth, because they learn about their environment by absorbing language, habits and culture from what they hear and witness.

Assisting a child to mature spiritually, emotionally and physically from the moment they are brought into the world is vital and it takes help from the Lord to do it successfully! The closer you grow personally in your relationship with the Lord Christ Jesus, in spirit and truth, it likewise grows easier to rely on Him for the answer to whatsoever you might experience.

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.
Psalms 127:3 NLT

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Mark 12:30-31 KJV

And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
